Finding the Rock

"If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice is too great for me to give for Him."

C.T. Studd

  • Lesson 1: The Lordship of Christ

The Lordship of Jesus Christ means that Jesus rules supreme over every area of one's life. Remember, someone or something will control your life. Perhaps selfish desires control you: the pursuit of money, pleasure, popularity, etc. But Jesus demands total control of your life. If the issue of Lordship is not settled, you cannot advance any further in the Christian life.

  • Lesson 2: Authority of Scripture

As children of God, people must have a proper view of the Scriptures. It is not that the Scriptures become God's Word just when they are quickened (made alive to an individual personally), but the Scriptures are God's Word whether a person sees them as they are stated or not.

  • Lesson 6: The Importance of Prayer

"Prayer is the highest call of all. It will change your life." - Larry Lea

Pastor Lea uses what is commonly referred to as "The Lord's Prayer" as the pattern for praying effectively for one hour. Perhaps it would be better to refer to this prayer given by our Lord in Matthew 6:9-13 as the warrior's prayer. Through this prayer the believer enters into agreement with God that His will will be accomplished on earth, just as it is in heaven.
